The MAV Cluster successfully closes its participation in Advanced Manufacturing Madrid

Clúster Mav,

On November 5 and 6, the MAV Cluster actively participated in Advanced Manufacturing Madrid 2025, one of the reference meetings for the manufacturing sector and advanced materials, held at IFEMA Madrid.

During the two days, the MAV Cluster shared space with three partner companies—BCircular, Refisa and Compoxi—in the Composites Engineering area, from where innovative projects, solutions and applications in composite materials and advanced industrial processes were presented.

On Wednesday 5 November, the MAV Cluster organized the round table "Sustainability and recycling of composite materials. Success stories", which brought together representatives of companies and organizations that are members of the Cluster to share experiences and best practices in sustainability, recycling and the circular economy.

The session, moderated by Ona Bombí, Cluster Manager of the MAV Cluster, had the participation of:

During the conversation, applied innovation projects such as the Ònix Project (3D printing and recycling of large molds), the European REWIND Project (recycling and revaluation of wind turbine blades) and new surface treatment technologies to reduce the use of chemicals in the aeronautical and aerospace sector were presented.

In the afternoon, the MAV Cluster attended the Advanced Manufacturing Awards ceremony, where a project from the association was a finalist: TeraMAT2, with the "TERA Batteries Recycling" project, promoted jointly by CEP (Centro Español de Plásticos), GAIKER Technology Centre, CITSALP, BESTPLANT, das-Nano and the MAV Cluster.

Despite not winning, the project was recognized as an example of collaborative innovation in the category of best sustainable project and circular economy.

Likewise, the BCircular member company was also a finalist with the project "Development of advanced materials from composite waste".

On the same Wednesday night, the MAV Cluster organized a dinner with different member companies to share experiences and strengthen ties within the sector. Representatives from Chemplate Materials, Compoxi, Eurecat, Bexiflon, Refisa and BCircular attended, in a meeting that served to foster collaboration and exchange perspectives on current industrial challenges.

On Thursday, November 6, the MAV Cluster followed the technical day organized by AIAS, where the presentations of:

In addition, the Cluster team visited companies linked to the areas of Surface Treatment, Additive Manufacturing and Automation & Digitalisation, exploring new synergies and collaboration opportunities with other players in the sector.

We close this edition with a very positive assessment and with the desire to repeat next year, consolidating the presence of the MAV Cluster and its members in one of the main international events in the sector.

Many thanks to everyone who visited our stand and shared these days with us. We continue to work to promote innovation, sustainability and competitiveness in the advanced materials sector.
